Slow Cooker Roast Beef Philly Cheesesteak French Dip Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
2-3 lb beef roast
1 onion, sliced
2 bell peppers, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-2 loaves of French bread
8-10 slices of provolone cheese
2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
In a slow cooker, add beef roast, onion, bell peppers, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, or until the beef is cooked through and tender.
Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
Slice the French bread into halves and spread shredded roast beef and provolone cheese evenly on each half.
Place the sandwich on the grill or grill pan and cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Once the sandwich is done, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a minute or two.
Slice the sandwich in half and serve with the remaining juices from the slow cooker as a dipping sauce.
