Copycat Dunkin Donuts Crullers Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the vegetable shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until the dough comes together.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes.
Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut the dough into strips, then twist each strip and form into a ring.
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fry the crullers in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Drain the crullers on paper towels.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
