Strawberry Banana Pudding

Ingredients:
2 boxes of crispy Vanilla Wafers
2 cups of sliced fresh Strawberries
3 ripe Bananas
1 cup of granulated Sugar
1/4 cup of Cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon of Salt
4 large Egg Yolks
3 cups of whole Milk
1 tablespoon of unsalted Butter
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Whisk in the egg yolks and milk until well combined.
Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and boils.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.
Let the pudding cool for a few minutes, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
In a trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer vanilla wafers, sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, and pudding.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of pudding on top.
Refrigerate for an additional 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled and enjoy the fruity goodness!
Tips:
Make sure the pudding is completely chilled before assembling the dessert to prevent it from becoming too runny.
Feel free to add a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra indulgent twist.
Experiment with different fruits like blueberries or raspberries for a unique flavor combination.
