Cheeseburger Casserole:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked according to package instructions
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and green pepper until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are softened. Drain any excess fat.
Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the diced tomatoes (undrained), tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Add the cooked elbow macaroni to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and tomato mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Top the casserole with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped pickles (if using).
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
