Chocolate Cherry Cake
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
21 oz cherry pie filling
1 package chocolate cake mix
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, almond extract, cherry pie filling, chocolate cake mix, granulated sugar, chocolate chips, butter, and milk. Mix until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before removing the cake from the pan and placing it on a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve the cake topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
