Ingredients
- 4 slices of thick Texas toast (or any thick-cut bread)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 3 tbsp softened butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic (or garlic powder), and salt until well combined.
- Spread Butter:
Generously spread the garlic butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Add Cheese:
Top each slice with a heaping portion of shredded cheese, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:
Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optional Broil:
For a golden-brown finish, broil on high for 1-2 minutes. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning!
- Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for a fresh touch and serve hot.
